I'm a big fan of pbs and their many, diverse programs, which range from the arts to philosophy to science. One of my favourites is nova, which presents science-oriented items. Recently, they aired a program called "Earth From Space", which focusses on fairly recent discoveries about our planet achieved from the many Earth-scanning satellites orbiting our world. Here's how the web site describes the program: "Detailed satellite images reveal the web of connections that sustain life on Earth."
It's a two hour program, so it's a bit of an time investment, but it truly runs by in a hurry. I found this episode so fascinating on a variety of levels beyond just the cool science. It has incredibly creative and inventive production values, terrific, sensible writing on a very complex subject, and surprising and valuable information that matters to us all. If you're interested in visual creativity, great documentary writing, or if you're just curious and concerned about your planet, I invite you to click on the link below; I think it will be worth your time.
